SERIOUS OUTBREAK AT NEWCASTLE MILD EPIDEMIC AT. SYDNEY (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 18th August*'-11.30 a.m.) ' ’SYDNEY, This Day. There js a mild influenza epidemic in Sydney, but in Newcastle the outbreak is more serious. All businesses are operating with depleted staffs. Over two hundred employees of Lysaght’s are affected, and the staff of the Newcastle Hospital has suffered severely. Being prostrated with a serious attack, a father, mother and five children were unable to leave their beds to open the door for the doctor, who forced a window and climbed through to his patients.
