ILLICIT FACTORIES IN CHINA IMMEDIATE: INQUIRY PROMISED (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 25th May. 11.30 a.m.) GENEVA, 24th May. There was something in the nature of a sensation at a meeting of the Opium Commission when the Chinese, Victor 1100, promised an immediate inquiry into the illicitness of drug factories in China with a view to eradicating the manufacture of opium and its derivatives and later evolve a plan to suppress poppy cultivation and the .manufacture of drugs.
