EFFORT TO BRIGHTEN THEIR CHRISTMAS SMITH FAMILY APPEAL The Smith Family report that their appeal on behalf of the children of the unemployed lias already been responded found they acknowledge with thanks a donation of £5 from the. ‘‘iVI.T.C., also several offers of assistance in kind. There arc. between live and six hundred children to be provided for, consequently the “Family” hope the children will help ns much as they can by faking a toy* to next Saturday’s matinee or by leavin if it at the Women’s Rest Room, Trafalgar street. Everything is in readiness for the street collection to-morrow, and citizens are asked not to leave their purses at home.
