FOUND DEAD
SECRETARY OF MANAWATU RACING CLUB (By Telegraph—Press Association) PALMERSTON N., This Day. A tragic discovery was made at Awapimi' racecourse this morning when the body of Victor Thomas Dibble, accountant, secretary of the Manawatu Racing Club, was lound in the trees near the main stand, the cause of death being a shot from a revolver, which was found fully loaded with the exception of two sheils fired. Deceased had been secretary of the Racing Club since the demise of the kite Mr G. M. Johnston two years ago, having come from Auckland where he was assistant secretary of the Racing Club. While in Palmerston North deceased was very popular. He had been connected with the Citizens’ Show Committee. tlie Rotary Club, and the local branch of the Red Cross Society, lie had been in ill-health for some time past.
