PROGRESS AT NAPIER

BUILDING RECOVERY (l»y Telegraph—Press Association) NAPIER, 13th December. Warm praise for the progress Napier is making toward complete recovery from the earthquake disaster was expressed by his Honour the Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) at the opening of the Hawkes Bay Adjustment Court in Napier this morning. Voicing the pleasure felt by himself and his associates, Messrs L. O. 11. Tripp and H. F. von Haast, at the change which had taken place since their last visit, his Honour said: “It is four months since Mr von Haast and I were last in Napier, and six months since Mr Tripp was here, and we are all as delighted as we are estonished at the progress which lias been made in the restoration, and not only in the restoration but also in the beautifying of this fine little town of yours. The improvements which have been made on the waterfront are attractive and delightful, and the buildings which are being erected would be a credit to any town in New Zealand.”
