SILENT BIG GUNS
ITALIAN CLAIMS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 15th August, 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, 14th August. ‘.‘The Times” Milan correspondent says apparatus which it is claimed silences heavy guns almost completely and conceals smoke and flash is reported to have been successfully tested in the presence of Italian naval experts. The inventors are two Neapolitan engineers who were formerly artillery officers.
