MEETING OF MURCHISON LODGE VISIT FROM MAITAI MEMBERS A meeting of the Murchison Lodge, No. 811, U.A.0.D., was held in Murchison on Saturday evening. There was a good attendance of members, and a party of ten Maitai brothers paid an official visit. ELECTION OF OFFICERS The election of officers for the ensuing term resulted as follows: J.P.A., Bro. J. Peacock; A.D., Bro. C. H. Middlemiss; V.A„ Bro C. J. Schultz; secretary, Bro. T. French; treasurer, Bro. P. Clough; 1.G., Bro. J. C. Hutchings; 0.G., Bro. M. Warnes; A.D.B.’s, Sisters Mrs French and M. French; V.A.B.’s, Sisters V Clough and E. French; minute secretary, Bro. M. Gibbs. The installation of officers was carried out by the District President, Bro. S. Palmer, assisted by P.S. Bro. French. At the conclusion a hearty vote of thanks to the District President for the capable manner in which lie carried out the installation ceremony, was carried by acclamation. Bro. Palmer, in reply, expressed the appreciation of the visitors for the hospitable welcome accorded to them. At the close of lodge business, games of cards were played. During the evening supper, which was. greatly appreciated, was served by the”lady members. A most, successful and enjoyable, function was brought, to a close by the singing of Auhi Lung Nyne and the National Anthem.
