TELEGRAM TO THE GOVERNOR (By Telegraph—Press Association) ROTORUA. This Day. The Governor-General arrived yesterday oil ail unofficial visit, accompanied by Captain and Mrs Vaughan Hughes and Lieut. Elworthy. He received the following telegram from Lord BadenPowell, Chief Scout: “Extremely grateful for Your Excellency’s kind appreciation of the Scout movement. The pluck, virility and resourcefulness of the New Zealand people in the earthquake earn world-wide admiration. These qualities we hope to reproduce from guiding and scouting in the oncoming generation.
