BULLET PROOF GLASS
A BRITISH INVENTION
PURCHASED BY FRENCH SYNDICATE (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright! LONDON, Ist February. Bullet proof glass invented in Britain was purchased hy a French syndicate which is producing it on a largo scale. It is made hy the acetox-Jolmson process, -consisting of two thin sheets with the product acetone pressed between. Tests showed that the glass was stronger than any existing French product. Rifle and revolver bullets failed more than to Hake a 'small amount near the surface. The Ministry of War is interested and may use the glass as loopholes for gunshields and tank windows.
