SUBSIDY FOR PROSPECTING
/RELIEVING UNEMPLOYMENT (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. With the object of helping the goldmining industry and assisting in tlie relief of the unemployed, the Mines Department is placing a , proposition before tlie Unemployed Board by which the board will subsidise money for prospecting on a £1 for £1 basis. It is felt that parties of men led by an experienced prospector could in this way be engaged in profitable work..
