HAWKE CUP PRELIMINARY
MARLBOROUGH TEAM The sole senior selector (Mr W. Barratt) has picked the following team to represent Marlborough against Nelson in the Hawke Cup match on the Marlborough College grounds next Friday and Saturday: H. Eobson (Wairau, captain), D. Stockwell (Wairau), R. Pearpoint and L. Fleming (Awatere), H. Robinson, K. Robinson and A. Robinson (Marshlands), H. Bramlcy and W. Hastilow (Tua Marina), M. Neal (Picton), G. Phelps (Wharanui). Emergencies, A. L. Rowe (batsman), H. Hill (bowler), J. Le Comte (wicket keeper). The Blenheim junior representatives have been invited to play the Nelson juniors in Nelson on New Year's Day. ALTERATIONS IN NELSON TEAM Lines and Searell are unable to eo to. Blenheim for the Marlborough match, and will be replaced by E. Newman and D. Glover.
