SYDNEY CITY COUNCIL RESTORED
KEEN ELECTION FIGHT (United Preßs Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 13th June. Nominations closed to-day for fifteen seats for the Sydney City Council, which for the past two years has been administered by a Civic Commission. The council has now been restored. Electoral boundaries have been altered, and an intensive fight is proceeding between anti-Labour and Labour candidates. Forty-two nominations were received for fifteen seats. Polling will take place next Wednesday.
