FAST TRIP
(By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, 13th June. Captain Stedman left Christchurch in a new Moth at 9.45 a.m., and arrived at Rongotai aerodrome at 11.40. A following wind helped to make the trip an unusually fast one. It usually takes three and a half hours. Mr Drake, chief traffic inspector for the Wellington City Council, was a passenger. NEW ’PLANE FOR WELLINGTON FLEET WELLINGTON, This Day. A new ’plane, an all-metal De Haviland Moth, has been added to Wellington’s local fleet. Over 50 civil aircraft are now registered in New Zealand.
