THE KING’S BIRTHDAY
A GENERAL HOLIDAY FOOTBALL AND HOCKEY FIXTURES To-morrow, the King’s Birthday, will be observed as a general holiday. The chief events will be the Rugby match, Town v. Country, for the Max Shield; and a game between the Town and Country junior representatives. Both matches will be played at Richmond Park in the afternoon.
A hockey seven-a-side touimament will bo played at the Botanical Reserve in the morning. At Richmond, commencing at 10.30 a.m., a game for the Cressy Cup will be played between hockey teams representing Kia Ora A and Riwaka.
