COUNT SHOT BY SON
SENTENCED FOR CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE (United Press Association— By Eleotrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 28th May, 1.5 p.m.) BERLIN, 27J,h May. Count Holberg Weringerojlc has been sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment for criminal negligence in shooting his father. Despite the verdict the Count announced his engagement to a wealthy countess, Anneliese Yon Rothkirehtrach. Count Eberliard Stalberg Wcringerode, one of the most notable of the Silesian aristocracy, was found shot dead in his library at Janowitz Castle in March last year. His son was found in the courtyard apparently unconscious. He said that lie had been attacked by burglars. Doctors found no sign of the son’s injuries. He was arrested and said he was cleaning a rifle which went oft', the bullet entering his father’s head.
