ACCIDENTALLY SELF-INFLICTED

SYDNEY, 9th April

The Coroner returned a verdict that death was due to a bullet wound, accidentally self-inflicted in the case of J. E. Byrne. John Edwin Bvrne, a prominent Sydney racehorse owner and trainer, heard a strange noise in his stable, and arming himself with a revolver, went to investigate. Tie was later found dying with a bullet wound under bis heart. The police theory was that lie was shot with his own revolver during a struggle with an intruder.
