PUBLICAN'S LICENSE QUASHED

KAMO SPRINGS HOTEL

(By Telegraph—Press Association)

AUCKLAND, This Day. Mr Justice Herdman to-day delivered his decision that the Marsden Licensing Cbtamittee had no jurisdiction to issue ;ai publican’s license for Kamo Springs Hotel. He declared that the license was iliot renewed in 1917, and when granted in < June, 1929, it had been dead for twelve years. . Dealing with the argument that the law permits the resurrection of a license, the Judge said that proceedings might be taken at . the first annual meeting after, the forfeiture by non renewal, but iii this case that time had long since expired. He therefore granted the application made by two electors of Marsden for a writ of certiorari to quash the committee’s certificate.
