CLAIM BY TAXI DRIVER : (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A-.-A claim for £2OO damages for alleged libhl by George William Goodge, a taxi driver, against the “Sun” newspaper, was heard by the Magistrate, Mr Young, ‘this morning. The case arose out of a wport of a by-law prosecution in which Goodge was fined 5s for being asleep in his taxi. The statement complained of was: “Tired taxi. drivers are evidently one of the products of competition among Tthe; taxis .in Christchurch at present. .George Goodge may not have been ‘out on the booze’ on 18th November, hut he certainly was asleep inhis cab on the nil way station stand, go Mr E.
