EASTER TOURNAMENT Entries for the Easter bowling tournament have come up to expectations and it has been found necessary to use the Richmond green. There are ten rinks from Maitai Club, nine from Nelson, Karori 3, Greymouth 3, Victoria 3. Wellington 2, Takaka 2, Richmond 2, Wakefield 2, Seatoun, Hataitai, Greytown, Hutt, Kelburn, Canterbury, Hokitika Motueka and Mapua one each, a total of 46. , At the monthly meeting of the Nelson Club last evening it was decided that the finalists in the various sections be allowed to complete their matches on Saturday afternoon. As the greens will be closed immediately after Easter it is imperative that all finals be completed before the holidays. It has been decided to hold the annual meeting the third week in August instead of in June. MAITAI CLUB The following is the result of the Club competitions to date: — Saturday Percentage Fours.—Winning skips: Piper 8 wins, no losses; Tunnicliff 8 wins, 2 losses; Dunplry 7 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses. Winning threes: Stevens 9 wins, 1 loss; Aydon 6 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses; H. P. Forster, 6 wins, 3 losses. Winning twos: W. Watson 7 wins 1 loss; Wright 5 wins, 4 Josses. Winning leads: Gay,' 7 wins 1 loss; Kitchingman 7 wins, 2 losses; Slinn 7 wins, 2 losses. Tillyard Cup.—Persico (2. lives) and Piper (one life) to play off. ' Senior Singles.—Persico (winner of A and Dunphy (winner of B section) played off, with Persico best 2 out of 3. Persico won and is the club champion and also champion of chain, pions for 1929-30. Senior Pairs.—A section: Persico and Aydon winners. B section, Tunnicliff and Benyon 5 wins; Piper and Gay 5 wins; Logan and Dodson 4 wins and an uncompleted game, winners to play Aydon and Persico. . Junior Pairs.—Wright and Oliver (6 wins), Kitchingman and Watson (6 wins) to play off. Junior Singles.—E. Snow winner; L. Forster runner-up. Brownlie Cup.—La Frentz and Trcit 6 wins; McComish and L. Forster 3 wins; Stevens and Gay 3 wins. _ On Saturday afternoon next it is proposed to set aside three rinks for the play off of the uncompleted games, senior and' junior pairs, and Tillyard Cup. The balance of the gi'een will be available for other games. As the Club has been successful in winning all inter-club games for the season, viz., Leaper Shield, District Cup, Saunders Cup and the Kitchingman Cup (juniors) it is hoped there will be a good muster on Saturday as it is proposed to have a photograph taken of the trophies and members of the club.
