COMPETITORS FOR EMPIRE GAMES (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. In reference lo the Empire Games to be held in Canada in August, the NewZealand Swimming Council has decided to inform Otago, Canterbury, and Auckland centres that the council was prepared to nominate R. Calder (diving), L. J. Moorhouse (back stroke), and G. Bridson (free, style), and to support each nomination to the extent of £st), t'hc, centres concerned lo find the. balance. The amount required for each competitor was stated to be £l2O. Next year's senior swimming championships will be held at Wanganui, and the junior and intermediate championships at Ashburton.
