BIG DEFICIENCY

PALMERSTON N., This Day. ; "The shortage on this estate will be not much lessjftlum £20,000," stated the Deputy Official Assignee, Mr C. E, Dempsey, this afternoon, at a further meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of John Rainforth Cunninghamk, chemist, of Palmerston North. Mr Dempsey said the position at the previous meeting, had been somewhat, obsoiiVe but he had since made inquiries and was able to place a full statement before...creditors . disclosing, tfye position of'various properties. This showed a total estimated deficiency of £20,917 10s. He (Mr Dempsey) 'had called for tenders for the stock, but had not been satisfied with the replies received.
Messrs R. L. C. Aitchison and E. Newlands were elected a committee to act with the D.Q.A., in considering the tenders.
The meeting adjourned sine die without any resolution being passed.
