AUCKLAND, This Day. | Extensive burns about the limbs and I body were received by John Stanley Latto (18) when he was engaged in j melting some glue at the paint factory (of Phillips and Impev Ltd., Newmarket, yesterday. With his clothes on fire Latto rushed from the building and rolled in some grass in an effort to extinguish the flames, but it was not until ho was wrapped in blankets by other workmen that this was accomplished. Latto was sent to hospital. iKe was melting glue over a gas jet when the glue evidently burst into flames. No damage was done to buildings.
