QUESTION OF PROFESSIONALISM

_ PARTS, 21st March. | 'I iu- International Lawn Tennis Association, including representatives of Australia and New Zealand, refused a permit for open tournaments between amateurs and professionals, which America proposed. The association also decided that it was unnecessary to change the rules prohibiting amateurs from receiving accessories free or at wholesale prices. On France's proposal, the organisation of the Davis Cup competition was transferred from the Davis Cup Committee to the International Federation.
