ITALY'S LARGEST WOMAN SUDDEN DEATH OCCURS ROME, 21st March. Giovaiina Ossena. nicknamed "The Cannon Ball," the largest woman in Italy, has died from a sudden illness. Fifteen firemen were needed to carry the stretcher on which she was taken to hospital. Giovanna weighed 35 stone, and measured 70 inches around the waist. She was 30 years old.
