ROYAL CHAPEL

REMOVAL OF BODIES

United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright Australian Press Association

LONDON, 25th October. It is stated that two reasons actuated the King regarding the removal of bodies from the Royal Chapel at Windsor—firstly, the vault is becoming too full, and secondly some members of the Royal Family expressed preference for burial in earth to burial in a vault. In future only sovereigns and those in the direct line of succession will be buried in the vault, the others being interred in new grounds. The "Daily Express" states that three bodies removed were those of the Marquis of Cambridge, Viscount Frematon,. and the Duchess of Connaught. The others were near relatives of royal personages buried in recent times.
