ADVERSE REPORT

TWO SCHOOLS OF FORESTRY

(By Telegraph—Press Association)

WELLINGTON, This Day. The Forestry Committee which has just toured the Dominion, reports adversely on the existence of two schools of forestry, and is of the opinion that die resources, both financial and teaching, of the Auckland and Canterbury University Colleges, in this connection should be' concentrated at one centre. If agreement cannot be reached —which it should be—then the committee is of opinion that the Forestry School should be established at some neutral point, in which case Palmerston North would be worth consideration. The • committee does not consider an associate's course of much value to the "Dominion, and recommends its abolition. Ranger classes should be separate from degree classes.
