(By Telegraph.—Press Asfoeiatlon,
CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Something of a New Zealand record for fast travelling was put up by Captain J. L. Findlay in a Gloster-Grebe aeroplane, the newest machine, at Wigram aerodrome. He flew to Timaru, stunted over the beach, and arrived back one hour and thirty minutes after he left.
Captain Findlay left Wigram at 2.30 p.m., about a quarter of an hour after two Bristol fighters, which were flown by Captains M. Buckley and N. Barlow.
