NELSON SYSTEM

SUPPORT IN AUCKLAND

(By. Telegraph.—Press Association)

AUCKLAND, This Day.

The Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute in a conference with delegates from nearly all city and suburban schools and also from provincial sub branches, adopted a resolution favouring the Kelson system of religions instruction in schools; opposing any move towards the abolition of education boards; and supporting the principle that, each transfer of a teacher from a school of rising grade be considered on its merils. Hope was expressed that the approaching conference would hasten the abolition of payments on average attendances.
