REFUSAL TO ADMIT COAIAIUNISTS

WELLINGTON, Tin’s Day
The Labour Conference passed a resolution regretting unfounded statements made against Alessrs Roberts and Bromley to the effect that they had acquiesced in the Government rate’s of pay to the unemployed, and expressing confidence in them.
1 he Conference defeated a proposal to admit Communists as members of the Labour Party by 106 votes to 9.
