At n sitting of the Magistrate's Court, before Mr T. E. Mnunsell, S.M., Norman Francis Snndbrook, aged 20, a stranger to* Nelson, pleaded guilty to the illegal conversion of a car to his own use. The car was owned by Cltas. Ed. Stewart, and was valued at £3OO. Accused was order to he detained in n Borstal institute for a period of two wars.

On n further charge of a breach of his prohibition license, a similar senfenco was imposed, to be concurrent.

DRUNKENNESS

Charged with drunkenness, a first offender was remanded for seven days in order to receive medical treatment.
