J. D. McKay, an ironmonger, and A. Novak, a restaurant keeper, who) were charged at the Court to-day before Mr Tate, S-M., with on 17th December carrying on the business of bookmaking, and on 31st December keeping-premises as a common gaming house, pleaded guilty and were fined £75 and £SO respectively. The. second charge was withdrawn.
