A distribution of Is ;i case on apples exported this season lias just been made. As Nelson exported close on 400,000 cases, the province benefits to the' extent of nearly £20,000 by the distribution. Growers had previously been allowed an advance of 9s a case, of which 6s was required for freights and charges in New Zealand, while out of the balance orchard charges were met. The shilling now distributed is on account of the ovorseas returns, and will he followed by further sums. Discussing the matter Mr D. Neal, Federation'agent. Plated that if growers took their net account sales ami deducted the 9s advance, they would know approximately what was to come lo them.
