THE LATE DR. H. O. WASHBOURN

SUGGESTED MEMORIAL At last night's meeting of the Richmond Borough Council the Mayor, Mr James Hunt, made a suggestion that a memorial be erected in the Borough in memory of the late Dr. 11. O. Washbourn. He paid a tribute to the late doctor and made fedmg lei'erence to his kindly nature and sterling qualities both as a citizen and in his profession. The Mayor thought it war, the Council's duty to take the matter of a memorial in hand and moved that a public meeting be held in order that the question might be discussed # by those interested. The motion was carried unanimously and the date of the meeting fixed for Bth August in the. Council Chambers. A suggestion that a memorial hall would he a suitable monument to the late doctor's memory had been received, accompanied by substantial donations. Councillor K. W. Cross thought too public would favour the Council's step and give if their strong support.
