Fighting their way through a log of blinding smoke while burning timbers crackled and fell about, them, Malcolm Anderson and his wife and three children escape,l dealii in their beds when a fire destroyed their homo early this morning, for thesecond time in sixteen months. The house, which was situated in Lincoln ioad, was behind one of two shops. Now all arc in ashes. The insurance is -£IOOO.

Neighbours had to come to the family's assistance, as they escaped to the street clad only in night attire.
