MAINTENANCE CASE

bitter feeling between

PARTIES

(United Press Association)

GISBORNE, This Day. An unusual case in connection with a maintenance order was heard by the Magistrate when Frederick Brougham Whitmore Bonsfield applied for a release from prison, to which he was committed on his wife’s application on the ground of failure to pay maintenance. He was imprisoned in February and released a fortnight later. He was committed t 6 gaol again in May, though in the meantime he had paid instalments of maintenance and arrears. From the latter committal he now sought release. The Magistrate said ho could not interfere. Unfortunately, there seemed to. be extreme feeling between the patties. The order must stay and the information be dismissed.
