LONDON, 6th May. Tlie Leaguo of Nations would be quite unable to maintain the peace of the world if the British Commonwealth broke up, declared Herr Zimmern of the League of Nations Institute of Intellectual Co-operation. Speaking at Oxford he said the Empire and League were interdependent and indispensable to each other. The peace of the world was maintained more by the Empire than by the League.
