CHILDREN OF THE GHETTO
A STAGE COACH WEDDING FASHIONS OF WHITECHAPEL LONDON, 21st Dec. So many thousands of people surrounded a house iri Whitechapel Road to see a Jewish bride and groom, Miss Freedman and Nicholas Gold, depart in a last,century stage coach for the- wedding at* the Synagogue that the police, ns two pages and six bridesmaids formed the procession, announced that they would issue a summons for street obstruction.
All the male guests wore dinner jackets and "white spats. Fifteen limousines followed the coach. The church was smothered in chrysanthemums.
Traffic was again nearly, .blocked on the way tor the recCptiQn,“„J?olice saluted tlie coach, thinking it was" a civic vehicle.
