ANOTHER AIR FORCE FATALITY

Flying-officer Purviss was killed through his machine stalling at Hawkinge, Kent, making the eighty-first Air Force fatality during 1926. STATEMENT BY MINISTER. (Received lltli Dec., 9.10.a.m.) LONDON, 10th Dec. Sir Samuel Hoaro, Air Minister, speaking at Birmingham, said they had riot found a. panacea against air crash, but every precaution had -been taken. Training, - inspection, apd supervision were higher in England than anywhere else in tho world. Despite the number of deplorable accidents this year was the second best in the history of the service when the amount of flying was considered. The situation was steadily improving yearly.
