NELSON CITY ASSOCIATION A general meeting of the Nelson City Cricket Association was held last evening. Mr E R. Neale was in the chair, the foUowing'-delegates being present:— Messrs Marshall and Searell (Wakatu), Sandiers and McGTashen (fochmond). An apology for absence was received from the Athletic Club representative. It was resolved to support the proposal that Marlborough, in Newman Shield competitions, should play as one team instead of being divided, as at present, in town and country divisions. The Association's representatives were given a free hand to Vote on Hie motion to limit the matches to three days, and also in regard to the proposal-to allow direct challenges to "be trief for one season.

■■ Arising out of a discussion, it was panted out that all clubs in the competitions must adhere to the rule to draw stumps at 6.15 p.m.. even if the opposing captains mutually agreed to prolong the time limit. " i Several other matters were dealt with before the meting adjourned.
