SUICIDE AT PETONE
DECEASED WORRIED ABOUT HIS HEALTH !:: ' (United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. An inquest' oil ' Archibald Mdinies, who cut his throat with a razor, was held at Petone. The Coroner returned a verdict of suicide while in a depressed state'of mind"due to bad health.' In the course of'evidence deceased's wife said that the previous'evening, after a Call at the Immigration Office, they had told him not to sit at licWo but' to go out and look for work. Ho then stated that rather than become a burden on. the'Government lie would do away with himself. Deceased was 37 years old and arrived from England on June 14. He had served in the 42nd Division during the war and had been Wounded in the stomach. He had recovered at Home but the wounds affected' him in liis work here. He had beon able to get fairly constant \wirk. His financial affairs were ail rigjft but he was'worried about his healjf}. He had stated' that if'he could get hack to England he' would be all 1 right as his old employer, with whom he had. worked for 21 years, had treated him well and would give him his old' position. _',
