BAPTIST SUNDAY SCHOOL
ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION Services in connection with the Baptist Sunday School were held yesterday in the School of Music, and notwithstanding the inclement weather con T ditions, were well attended. In the morning the Rev. H. J. Ralph was the preacher and in an impressive address exhorted the young people to take Jesus Christ, as their pilot through life. At the afternoon service the superintendent, Mr T. Pettit presided. The prizes in connection with the primary department were distributed by MiHarold Wood, the primary superintendent.
In the evening Pastor J. C Mackay was the speaker and in a forceful and interesting address emphasised the blessings to be derived by sincere prayer and personal contact with God. A feature of the day was the bright and happy singing by the children under the baton of Mr, E. A. Wood. Miss Maida Robertson presided at the Cawthron organ. The anniversary celebration will be continued this evening in the School Music at 7.30 when the young people will again sing. The senior prizes will also be distributed and a musical and elocutionary programme will be rendered. • ,
