AUCKLAND POINT SCHOOI

Three lenders, were received lor asphalting' at Auckland Point Si hoi I. The chairman suggested that the tenders should lie relerreil lo the kducat ion Hoard, whose duty lie considered it was to carry out Hie work. Tie pointed out that shortly there would he a reorganisation of the schools, and that so far as the Auckland Point school was concerned, it wolilil not be under the Committee's jitrisdiel inn, as no doubt a separate eonimil tee would be formed. He was of opinion that the t bmmitlee should liquidate the amount they were liable for for fencing at Auckland Point, and let the Hoard fight out the question of asphalting. The Hoard could also he informed of the amount the committee had towards the cost of the work. After some further discussion it was moved hv the chairman Hint the ten decs lie forwarded lo the I'lducat ion Hoard, together with £220 (including suhsi(lv) which had been raised by schools entertainment, towards the coßt of grounds improvement. The motion was seconded by Air Easdale and carried.
