VON' SEEKT'S RESIGNATION

Nationalist newspapers criticise Cabinet's acceptance of Von Seekt's resignation as a capitulation to the republican press, and an act of ingratitude to the new Germany. for which act foreign political considerations are, largely responsible. The Prussian Stale Council, despite Socialist anj Communist, opposition, approved the llolienzollcrn Compromise Bill.
Von Seekt's successor is General ITeve, commander of the Koenigshberg Reich swehr, who was a member of the supreme army command during (he war under llindenhnrg. He is also credited with summoning a meeting of regimental commanders near the end ol tin* war., at which the Kaiser was advised to abdicate.
