(By ElectHa Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian & N Z. Gable Association)
LONDON. Oct. 9,
Plea for Hie remembrance of Do Pinodo’s remarkable flight is submitted in a letter to the “Daily Telegraph.” The writer asks English sportsmanship and sense of justice in the midst of singing Cobham's praises, not to overlook the Italian’s achievements. He points out that Cobham’s mute as far as Kupang was almost identical with that of De Pinedo. The Italian flew round Australia via Western Australia, thence to Japan, (lien to Rome, with the same engine and machine, t'obham covered considerably less distance, therefore his is not a record, though there is certainly just cause for British pride.
