A BOY SERIOUSLY BURNT (United Press Association., TAURANGA, This Day A distressing accident occurred here vesterday afternoon. Robert Gray, aged 16, went out alone in a launch. It appears that near the harbour entrance the engino gave trouble and backfired and threw Gray down; rendering him unconscious. The launch took fire and the boy was seriously burned- on the face, arms and legs. Later he regained consciousness, and despite his injuries rowed in the dinghy a short distance, when he was seen arid taken to hospital, where he lies in a critical condition.
