Mr Justice MacGregpr gave decision to-day regarding the, application of the Educational Institute for an originating summons in regard- to; the.alleged prejudicial effect.of the Education Board's method of advertising for teachers regarding single and female' teachers. The .matter argued at length yesterday was as to whether the Institute had* the status entitling it to take proceedings in .such a form and as to whether it was really the capable mouthpiece of teachers. ;-.;.- • ■ ,
His Honour to-day dismissed the summons without costs on the grounds briefly that the.form of proceedings .was not suitable in the case of a body such ns the Institute and that a concrete case of injury $o a teacher was not stated, but that a general interpretation of the statute on a hypothetical basis had been sought!
