A conference of leading medical practitioners and institutions interested in combating tuberculosis-.was held at the instance of the Department of Health. It was decided to create'a soeeial branch of the department to deal with tuberculosis thoroughly. -A representative., of the Board of Control was appointed to put' the scheme into operation.
