CHARGES ADMITTED (United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., June 10. At the Police Court John Joseph Hansen alias Jim Wereta, aged 23, Neils Marten Olsen, .'52, and Edith Rosine Smith, 22, appeared on a number of charges.- Hansen was -barged that on May 28. at Papatawa, he stole from the dwelling of Edith Huggins 17/- in money also sundry articles, including a post office savings bank book, of the total value of £3/5/0, the property of Mrs Huggins. All three were charged that on May 31, at Palmerston North, thoy conspired to defraud the Postmaster-General of the sum of £l5O, Hansen was charged with making a false document, namely, a post office withdrawal slip for £l5O, purporting to bo signed by Mrs Huggins. and uttering the same to accused Smith with intent that it should bo acted upon as if genuine. Smith was charged with making out a false withdrawal slip for £159 and uttering the same to Douglas Sydney Comrie. The first named pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence at the Wellington Supreme Court. Smith pleaded not guilty and .vas committed for trial in the Palmerston North court. Hansen and Olsen plea h;1 guilty to conspiracy and were committed to Wellington for sentence.
