GIRL GUIDES COMMITTEE MEETING The monthly meeting of the Girl Guide Committee was held in Mrs Hargreaves rooms on Friday last, a good attendance of members being presided over by Mrs A. IV Edwards. A vote (if condolence was passed 'to Rev. Vesper and family in their recent sad bereavement. Two new members were elected, Mesdames Willis Talbot and It. W. Stevens.
Miss Reynolds (captain) and Miss Thorp (Blown Owl) had no report for this meeting, as the Guides havo been on holiday. After somo discussimb, it was decided to ask the public, through the press, to acquaint the secretary or captain of any good deeds that the patrols could undertake, such work being a part of their training, and also giving them points in competing for the Moncrieff Shield. The remainder of'file evening was devoted to making arrangements for the annual plain and fancy dress dance To be held this month. It was decided to call a special meeting for the 18th, to make final arrangements for the dance.
A paper by Airs Moncrieff (Commissinoner) was read and left until next meeting to be discussed.
