STRANDED WHALE

A rorqual whale, between 40 and* 50 feet in length, was stranded near the mouth of tlie Tamati River. The body was scarred, possibly as a result of attacks by swordfish or sharks. 'Die whale was claimed bv two men, Morgan and Bennett.
